Miguel Romero-Lopez

Miguel Romero-Lopez,86, a resident of Espanola, formerly of Mexico, passed away on August 18, 2022. He is preceded in death by his son Michael Romero, father Bernardo Romero, Mother Alta Gracia, sisters Esperanza and Abelina Romero, and brothers Pedro and Juan Romero.

Miguel was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved him. Miguel was a carpenter most of his life and has built many homes in the Espanola Valley.

Miguel is survived by his wife Rosalita “Sheila” Romero, daughters Palmita Romero (Saul), Ernestina Romero (Santiago), grandchildren Miguel Romero (Andrea), Humberto Parra (Irie), Ivan Romero, Santana Dominguez, Faith Dominguez, Estrella Dominguez, Santiago Dominguez, Esperanza Dominguez, and many other relatives and friends.

A public visitation will take place on Wednesday September 7, 2022 at 6:00 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory and a Rosary to follow at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will take place on September 8, 2022 at 12:00 p.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Espanola, burial will take place at a later date.

Pallbearers will be Lee Lopez, Miguel Romero, Humberto Parra, Ivan Romero, Santana Dominguez, and Faith Dominguez.

Honorary Pallbearers will be grandchildren Santana, Faith, Estrella, Santiago, and Esperanza Dominguez, sister-in-law Pauline Lopez, niece Daniella Carmona and family friend Yvette Serrano.
