Michael Andrew Age - 31 - Hernandez Chavez

Michael Andrew Chavez, 31 a resident of Hernandez, passed away on Sunday May 27, 2012. Andrew served in the United States Air Force for 3 years and 10 months as a Satellite Telemetric Journey Man. While in the Air force he served 2 tours in Iraq and 1 in Afghanistan. Andrew loved being outdoors fishing and camping. He also enjoyed playing baseball and working on computers. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Nelson and Emilia Quintana; paternal uncles: Leonard and Ralph Chavez. Mr. Chavez is survived by his partner, Susan Garner; children: Mika and Trenton Chavez; parents: Michael Chavez, Gloria Woodson and her husband Bruce Woodson; brother, David Gallegos Jr.; paternal grandparents Rafelita and Julio Chavez; maternal aunts: Marie Martinez and husband Joseph, Joann Rael; maternal uncle, Lee Quintana and wife Jackie; maternal cousin, Gabriel Quintana; paternal aunts: Kathy Chavez, Joan Gionareio and husband Mark, Carmella Flores and husband Leonard; paternal uncles: Julio Chavez, Ben Chavez and wife Dion; numerous other loving relatives & friends. Memorial service will be held on Monday, June 4, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at Victory Faith Church in Española.
