Michael Romero

Brothers, Michael Albert Romero, age 59 and Arthur Andrew Romero, age 54, both lifelong residents of Taos, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, January 25th 2017. They were preceded in death by their parents, Elizardo and Griselda Romero; brothers and sister, Roland, Rachel, Antonio, Richard, Carl, Daniel and Christopher Romero. Michael was a Veteran of the United States Army, having served in Korea. Arthur was a wood carver and construction worker. Michael and Arthur are survived by their siblings, Steve Romero and companion Susan of Chili, Robert Romero and Companion Irene Salazar of Albuquerque, Gil Romero and wife Rose of Rio Rancho, Michelle Giron, Sylvia Romero, Cynthia Romero and Jonathan Romero all of Taos. Michael’s children, Guadalupe, Esperanza and Miguel all of Questa. Arthur’s son, Andrew Sebriano Romero of Taos; as well as numerous other loving relatives and friends. A Memorial Service will be held on February 18, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at the Pentecostal Church of God at 415 Hatchery Road in Taos. A Memorial Mass will be held on March 9, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Taos. Burial to follow at Graham’s Cemetery in Taos. The family of Michael and Arthur Romero has entrusted the care of their beloved ones to the DeVargas Funeral Home and Crematory of the beautiful Española Valley.
