Michael "Mike" Jaramillo

Michael “Mike” Jaramillo, 69, a resident of Abiquiu, left this earth to embark on his journey to eternal life with our dear Lord Jesus Christ on January 9, 2024. Mike was born on November 11, 1954, to Pedrito and Margarita Jaramillo in Las Vegas, NM.

Mike is preceded in death by his parents, Pedrito and Margarita Jaramillo, grandson James P. Quintana, father-in-law Gilbertito Martinez, and brother-in-law Timmy Martinez.

He is survived by his wife Brenda, three children: Caroline Jaramillo Salazar (Leroy), Victor Jaramillo (Brenda), and Alexandra Jaramillo, and his best friends and fur babies Sparky and Kyle. Brothers Henry Jaramillo (Vivian), Johnny Jaramillo (Patsy), Louie Jaramillo (Eva), Casey Jaramillo (Heather), and sister Antonia Trujillo (Tony). Grandchildren Heather Velarde (Peter), Josiah Jaramillo, and Jazimen Aldaz (Darren). Great-grandchildren Aliyah Monique Chavez, Martin Martinez, Kenneth Vaughn IV, Evelyn Maestas, and Ezekiel Vaughn. Nephews Kenny Jaramillo, Kevin Jaramillo, Kraig Jaramillo, Andrew Jaramillo, Josh Jaramillo, Matthew Jaramillo, and Adam Salazar. Nieces Felicia Jaramillo and Kristina Saiz.

Serving as beloved pallbearers: Bryan Martinez, Gilbert Martinez, Kenny Jaramillo, Kevin Jaramillo, Kraig Jaramillo, Josiah Jaramillo, Martin Martinez, and Kenneth Vaughn IV.

Honorary pallbearers: Heather Velarde, Ezekiel Vaughn, and Jazimen Aldaz.

The Rosary will be held on Friday, January 19th, 2024, at Saint Thomas the Apostle Catholic Parish in Abiquiu at 7:00 PM. The funeral mass will be held on Saturday, January 20th, 2024, at Saint Thomas the Apostle Catholic Parish in Abiquiu at 11:00 AM.

The family of Mike Jaramillo would like to thank the nurses and staff at CHRISTUS St. Vincent Regional Medical Center for their wonderful care, and nurses Tomiko and Elena for their assistance and compassion in Mike's final hours with us.
