Michael Trujillo, 60, a resident of Chimayo, passed away of a lengthy illness on Tuesday, January 7, 2014. He was preceded in death by his mother, Adelia V. Trujillo; maternal grandparents, Jose Domingo Vigil and wife Rita, brother, Gaylord Trujillo; close uncles, Juan D. Vigil, and close nephew, Leon Gonzales. Michael was devoted to his Lord and Angels. He loved the Lord and spoke often of the Lord, and his love for Him and was loyal and very loving to all his children and siblings. He was a generous and forgiving individual no matter the hurt caused to him he would forgive everyone. Michael loved his children and grandchildren; he was an animal lover and adored his white dog named “White Cloud”. Michael was talented with his carpentry he could do plumbing, electrical, or mechanical work. He was the jack of all trades and we will forever miss him, may you rest in peace. Michael is survived by his wife, JoAnn Trujillo of Española; sons, Michael Trujillo, Jr. of Española and Joseph Trujillo and wife Rebecca of Española; daughters, Melanie Trujillo and companion Jennifer Esquibel of Rio Rancho and Loriann Trujillo and companion Isador Dixon of Española; father, Ignacio Trujillo; close uncle, Carlos Vigil and wife Rosina of El Llano; sisters, Margie Benavidez, Loretta Duran, Evelyn Baca and husband Orlando, Melissa Fuentes and husband Danny, and Annabell Gonzales and companion Dennis all of Chimayo; brother, Jerry Trujillo of Chimayo; 9 grandchildren; his puppy “White Cloud”, and numerous other relatives and friends. Public visitation will begin on Wednesday, January 15, 2014 at 6:30 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory, with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Memorial mass will be celebrated on Friday, January 17, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church in Chimayo, with a burial to follow at Nuestra Señora de Dolores Catholic Cemetery in Chimayo. Serving the family as pallbearers will be, Nicole Gonzales, Charlie Vigil, Gene Burrell, Jerry Trujillo, Jr., Benito Vigil, and Kenny Martinez. Honorary pallbearers will be all his grandchildren, nieces and nephews. The family of Michael Trujillo has entrusted their loved one to the DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.\r\n \r\n
