Matthew M. Vigil, 45, of El Guache passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, November 6, 2011. He enjoyed fishing with his precious daughter Amberlyn (Hamburger), enjoyed camping, and hunting with his brother-in-law Gabe, going for wood with his brother and working outside, most precious was spending time with his wife Myra and Amberlyn and family. He was preceded in death by his father, Mike P. Vigil; his God-father, Don Espinoza; mother-in-law, Berlinda P. Martinez; brother-in-law, Vernon J. Martinez . He is survived by his wife, Myra N. Vigil together for 27 years and married for 17 years; daughter, Amberlyn Vigil; mother, Virginia Vigil of El Guache. He is also survived by his sisters: Frances and William Cooper & boys, Christine and Fabian Padilla & family, Anna and Leroy Martinez & family, Lucy and Anthony Rendon & girls, Margret and Dennis Trujillo & family, Sadie and Matthew Valdez & family, Joselene and Lonnie Montoya & boys, Barbara and Vernon Vigil & girls, Tonie and Gabriel Baros & boys, and brother, Michael Vigil & boys; father-in-law, Joe G. Martinez; brother-in-law, David Martinez; sister-in-law, Debbie and Martin Dixon, brother-in-law Michael Martinez and companion Evelyn. He is survived by his God- mother Andriellita Espinoza; Godsons: Gary Cooper and Julian Baros. Public visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 9, 2011 at 6:30 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory with a rosary to follow at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Thursday, November 10, 2011 at 12:00 p.m. at San Jose Catholic Church in Hernandez with burial to follow at San Jose Catholic Cemetery in Hernandez with the following serving as pallbearers: Gabriel Baros, William Cooper, Anthony Rendon, Matthew Valdez , Dennis Trujillo, Martin Dixon, Demetrios Padilla, Sr., Horace Esquibel.
