Mary N. Lovato, 53, who was residing in Albuquerque, with her daughter Monica Lovato, originally of Espanola passed away Friday, Sept 28, 2012 of an illness. Mary Lovato worked at Sunwest Bank for many years as a loan officer, many people know Mary from the bank. Mary was very smart and very educated, she had been in a car accident and stopped working and finished her college degree in accounting. Mary enjoyed reading and writing very much! Mary also loved the outdoors, she loved camping, but she never liked touching the fish her daughter Monica says. Mary loved playing with her niece Stephanie's children: Jerstiny, Devon & Lucas... Those kids are what she looked foward to seeing when she came to visit Espanola... Mary had so many friends, very good friends & she appreciated everyone of them. Mary loved talking about her daughter Monica, that was her pride & joy. Mary Says- I have accepted fear as part of life, Specifically the fear of change... I have gone ahead despite the pounding in my heart that say's TURN BACK" Mary is preceded in death by her father, Nelson Martinez, Sr.; uncle, Jerome Martinez; brother, Nelson Martinez, Jr.; dear friend, Leroy Quintana. Mary is survived by her daughter World Champion Boxer, Monica Lovato; her mother, Mercy Martinez; sisters: Carolyn Guillen & Marilyn Martinez-Ortiz; brother, Marvin Martinez; nieces: Stephanie and her children (Jestiny, Devon, Lucas), Megan, Kristen and Billie Jo; nephews: John and his daughter (Mikaela), Jeremy, Jerome, Javier; uncles: Joe Martinez and Valentin Suazo; numerous uncles, aunts, cousins & other loving relatives and friends.
