Mary Louise Age - 89 - Ohkay Owingeh/Californ Blancaflor

Mary Louise Archuleta Blancaflor, 89, a resident of Ohkay Owingeh and Upland, California went to her eternal home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 3, 2013 where she was reunited in heaven with her children: Wallace Ohlerking and Ylane Anifantis; other loving relatives. She worked as “Rosie the Riveter” at Lockheed, Burbank California during World War II as her husband survived the terror and destruction of WWII in the Philippines and later met and married his loving wife and had 6 beautiful children. She held the highest calling and that is being a mother. Mary is survived by her husband Cornelio Blancaflor of Ohkay Owingeh/Upland, California; children: Charles Ohlerking, Yugie Atwood, Yvonne and husband Jerry Marwede and Little Mary Blancaflor all of Ohkay Owingeh/Upland, California; grandchildren: Ira and wife Shannon Atencio of Colorado Springs, CO, Jeremy Atwood, LaVena Jacobs and Nicholas Anifantis all of California; great-grandchildren, Troy, Grant and Dana Atencio and Mikayla Jacobs; brothers/sisters: Beatrice Torres and family of Ohkay Owingeh, Isabel and husband Herman Vigil and family of Tesuque, Henry Archuleta of Ohkay Owingeh; close cousin, Peggy and husband Leroy Sanders and family of Ohkay Owingeh; numerous other loving relatives & friends. Public visitation will be held on Friday, April 5, 2013 at 6:30 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory with a memorial to follow at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday, April 6, 2013 at 9:00 a.m. at St John the Baptist Catholic Church in Ohkay Owingeh. Burial to follow at Ohkay Owingeh Catholic Cemetery with the following serving as pallbearers, James Archuleta, Brian Archuleta, Dion Sanders, Kevin Abeyta, Nevin Duran, Bear Archuleta. Honorary pallbearers named, Charles Ohlerking, Ira Atencio, Jeremy Atwood and Nicholas Anifantis. The Blancaflor family would like to thank everybody for the love, support and prayers. The family of Mary Louise Archuleta Blancaflor have entrusted the care of their loved one to DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.
