Mary Jo - Age 66 - Rio Chama Hendrickson

MARY JO HENDRICKSON, 66, a resident of Rio Chama, passed away on Saturday, January 8, 2011 following a brief illness. She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Ermina Hendrickson; son, Roy Paul Elam and brother, Buddy Gould. Mary Jo was a Veteran of the U.S. Air Force and made her career in Nursing. She retired after 20 years of service to Las Cumbres Learning Services. She was an animal lover and loved the outdoors, she loved her family and friends will be dearly missed. Ms. Hendrickson is survived by her children, Tony Elam, Tonia Elam and husband, Carl Gonzales and Timothee Salazar all of Albuquerque and Tricia Garcia of Rio Chama; grandchildren, Isabella and Benjamin Salazar both of Albuquerque; brothers and sisters, Walter Gould and wife Gloria and Thomas Gould and wife Harriet all of Española and Gloria Moseley of Grand Junction, Colorado; sister-in-law, Charlotte Gould of Española and numerous extended family and friends. Public visitation will be held on Thursday, January 20, 2011 at 8:30 a.m. in the Chapel of Peace at DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory with a devotional service to be held at 9:00 a.m. with burial to follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery at 11:00 a.m. The Hendrickson family has entrusted their loved one to DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley. 505-747-7477
