Mary Lovato

Mary Feloniz Lovato, a resident of Ojo Caliente, passed away unexpectedly but peacefully with her family by her side on Saturday, May 12, 2018. She was born on May 06, 1931 in Questa, NM to the late Lucas Cisneros and Teofilita Martinez. Mary is proceeded in death by her late husband Eduardo Lovato who was known as the Unofficial Mayor of Ojo Caliente and her daughter Helen Lovato. She is survived by her children, Linda and Michael Garcia of Peñasco, LeRoy Lovato and Edna of Albuquerque, John and Patricia Lovato of Albuquerque, James Lovato and Theresa of Chamita, Fred and Karla Lovato of Bloomfield, Barbara, Richard, and her special angel, Tracy Lovato of Ojo Caliente; sisters in-law, Dora Sanchez of Farmington, Alice and Carlos Martinez of Solano; brother in-law, Levi Lovato of Las Tablas along with many nieces and nephews. Mary had 19 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren whom she loved very much. Public visitation will begin on Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at 6:00 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, May 17, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Ojo Caliente. Burial will take place at Santa Fe National Cemetery at 3:00 p.m. with the following assisting as pallbearers will be her grandsons Danny and Matthew Garcia, Christopher Dominguez, Victor, Johnny, Steven, Ben, David and Gabriel Lovato. Honorary pallbearers will be all her granddaughters. Mary will be greatly missed and never forgotten. The family of Mary F.
