Marvin M. Mueller, 86, a resident of White Rock, passed away after a lengthy illness on Wednesday, February 4, 2015. He was preceded in death by his parents, Martin and Elsie Mueller; step-mother, Lorene Mueller; and step-sister, Wanda New. Marvin obtained his Bachelors of Science, Masters of Science and Doctorates of Philosophy from the University of Oklahoma. He worked for L.A.N.L. as a physicist from 1958 – 1993 on various projects. Towards the end of his career he worked on the ANTARES Laser Fusion project. He enjoyed physics, philosophy, hiking, and 4 wheeling in the mountains. He had a good sense of humor and will be missed by all his family and friends. Marvin is survived by his brother, Delbert Mueller and wife Paula; nieces, Lori Mueller, Janet (Jan) Mueller-Hanson and husband Rob, Tiana Wendelburg and husband Vance; 7 great nephews and nieces; step-sister, Betty Williams and husband Gail, and 5 step-nephews and nieces, plus other loving relatives and friends. No services are planned, however, an informal “Remembering Marvin” gathering will be held in the near future and those who would like to attend may leave their contact information with DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory. In lieu of flowers a donation may be made to the Food Depot in Santa Fe or the Los Alamos Visiting Nurse Services. The family of Marvin M. Mueller has entrusted the care of their loved one to the DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.
