Martin - age 10 - Española Palacios Jr.

MARTIN PALACIOS, Jr., “Mi Jito” 10, a resident of Española, passed away of a lengthy terminal illness on Monday, May 19, 2014. He was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Eliseo and Beroniz Ortega, Ernesto and Frances Martinez and Charlie and Floraida Abeyta and uncles, Joe and Raymond Ortega. Martin is survived by his mother that loved and cared for him very much, Vanessa Renee Martinez and fiancé Isaac Cole; father, Martin Palacios; sisters, Leticia, Camila and Jennifer; brothers, Jesus, Jose and Matthew; grandparents, Cindy Martinez, Joe Abeyta, Roy Martinez and Ercilia Amaya and Angel; special uncle Roy and Phyllis Martinez, and numerous other relatives and friends. Public visitation will begin on Friday, May 23, 2014 at 6:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Peace of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory with a devotional service to follow at 7:00 p.m. Burial to be held on Saturday, May 24, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Templo Baptismo Cemetery in Chimayo. Serving the family as Pallbearers will be Roy Martinez, Adam Trujillo, Eleazar Lopez Jr., Raymond Ortega Jr., Jesus Franco, and Isaac Cole, honorary pallbearers named will be, Leticia, Camila, Ashley Martinez, Jesus, Jose, Matthew, Eliseo, Audrey, Patricia and Gabriel. A special thanks to the Staff from professional Health Care de Sol Amor Hospice, Medically Fragile program, and staff from the Public Schools and DeVargas Funeral Home and Crematory and everyone that was there for the family.
