Mark A. Age - 54 - Española Maes

Mark A. Maes, 54, a resident of Española formally of Embudo passed away from a lengthy illness on Monday, November 5, 2012. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jose P. Maes and Maria of Embudo, J.J. Dominguez Sr. and Josefa Dominguez of Chamisal; close brother-in-law, Eluid Sanchez; aunt, Ida Salazar of Embudo. Mark is survived by his children: Leeann Maes and companion Cory Lewis, Mark Maes and companion Merina Trujillo; grandchildren: Shawn Martinez, Ashlynn Lewis and Marcos Maes; parents, Daniel and Rose Maes of Embudo; brother, Daniel Maes Jr.; sisters: Debbie Gonzales and husband Ernie and Melissa Peña and husband John; uncles/aunts: Aaron and Tonie Maes; Madrina, Frances Aranda; godson, Johnny Atencio; numerous nieces, nephews & other loving relatives & friends. Public visitation will be held on Thursday, November 8, 2012 at 6:00 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory with a rosary to follow at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday, November 9, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Velarde with burial to follow at Father Cooper Catholic Cemetery with the follow serving as pallbearers will be: Norman Martinez, Johnny Atencio, David Maes, John Peña, Rodney Maes and Ernie Gonzales; honorary pallbearers: Shawn Martinez, Ashlynn Lewis and Marcos Maes.
