Mark Vigil

MARK VIGIL , 42, a resident of Española was called home to his eternal resting place and into the arms of our Lord on Saturday, November 18, 2017. He was preceded in death by his loving parents, Eppie and Teddy Vigil best friend, Kevin Vigil; aunts, Mazie Weaver and Pita Vallejos; uncles, Mike, Johnny and Lupe Vigil and Toby and Eloy Martinez; cousins, James Vigil, Carlos Martinez, Brian Vigil and Margie Vallejos; God-mother, Marian Vallejos. Mark was born on December 5, 1974. He was full of life. His passion was low-riders, cars and his 1962 Chevy Impala. He attended many car shows any chance he had. He loved to be outdoors fishing, camping and just going to the lake. He was a very loving and giving person who helped anyone in need. His faith in God was strong and always believed God walked with him in his life. He attended Española Valley High School where he met many longtime friends. They shared many memories with him. He also attended Northern New Mexico College where he studied mechanics. Mark loved everyone in his life including his family and believed in family values. Mr. Vigil is survived by his loving family, daughters, Shannon Vigil and Faith Padilla; grandson who was the light of his life, Ravenlee Ortiz; fiancé and love of his life, Jennifer Sanchez; step-children, Alexa Rose, Andrew, Adam, ReAnn and Destany Padilla; nephew and niece who he thought of as his own children, Danny and Marissa Martinez; sister who was like his second mother, Monica Vigil and numerous other relatives and friends. Public visitation will begin on Monday, November 27, 2017 at 6:00 p.m.  in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Memorial mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at La Iglesia de Santa Cruz de la Cañada. Burial will be held at a later date. Serving the family as pallbearers will be, Ravenlee Ortiz, Danny Martinez, Emilio Gonzales, Joseph Serna, Jerry Archuleta, Tomas Martinez, Manny Atencio, Danny Martinez, Sr., Andrew Padilla and Adam Padilla. The family of Mark Vigil has entrusted their loved one to DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.
