MARK MANUEL MARTINEZ, 41, a resident of Española, passed away on Saturday, May 26, 2012 following a motorcycle accident. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Juan B. and Emiliana Martinez and Antonio Griego; uncles, Leo and Stanley Griego and Rudy Martinez and aunt, Loretta Griego. Mr. Martinez is survived by his wife, Barbara Martinez; children, Rae-Anna and Raquel Martinez and Jamie, C.J. and Jeremy Archuleta; parents, Manuel J. and Mary Agnes Martinez; brother, Matthew Martinez and wife Victoria Sandoval; nephews and niece, Christopher and Alejandro Martinez and Desere Martinez; grandmother, Christina Griego of La Madera; aunts, Janet Malcom and husband Jack of Española, Debbie Griego of Santa Fe, beloved auntie, Sandra Griego of Las Cruces, Elsie Lovato of Española, Odelsia Chacon and husband Fern of Cañon Plaza, Epimenia Montoya and husband Robert of La Madera, Zella Martinez of Leadville, CO; uncles, Horace Martinez and wife Cordy of Cañon Plaza and David Martinez of Rawlins, Wyoming and numerous other relatives and friends. Public visitation will begin on Monday, May 28, 2012 at 6:30 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 30, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at Ojo Caliente Catholic Church. Meal to follow mass at Mesa Vista Gymnasium, burial will follow meal at Family Plot in La Madera.
