MARJORIE WEBSTER WILSON, 88, a resident of Los Alamos, passed away on Friday, December 16, 2016. She was preceded in death by her parents, Hugh and Ruth Norris Webster. Marge attended Central High School in Tulsa and graduated from Grinnell College in Iowa in 1949 with a degree in History.
She met her husband Kenneth at Grinnell and they moved to Los Alamos in 1951 where they raised their family. Marge was employed by the Los Alamos National Laboratory for 20 years as a technical editor in ESS division. She retired from the Lab in 1991. She was an active member of the White Rock Presbyterian Church, Los Alamos Historical Society, AAUW and the Los Alamos Duplicate Bridge Club. Marge left the world a better place with the love she gave to her family. She leaves a legacy of kindness and friendship to all who knew her and love and beautiful memories for her family. Our family would like to thank special caregivers Trisha, Kerri, Luisa and Paige as well as the Los Alamos Visiting Nurses for their compassionate care. They became an extended part of our family. Marge is survived by her husband, Kenneth Wilson, with whom she celebrated their 67th wedding anniversary on November 5, 2016.
In retirement Marge and Ken enjoyed traveling to visit family and play duplicate bridge together for 25 years. In both life and bridge Ken said he had found his perfect partner. Survivors include daughters, Marcia (John) Justema, Leslie (Ted) Hauschildt, Nadine (Jeff) Hokamp; 8 grandchildren, Jennifer (David), Jeff (Shannon), Jessica (Evan), Julie, Megan (Nick), Stephanie (Tyler), Katie, Brett (Robin) and 16 great-grandchildren; and sister, Helen Lee. Private Memorial services for the family will be held at a later date.
