Mario Lopez

MARIO “MODS” LOPEZ, 50, a resident of Espanola, passed away on Saturday, July 6, 2019.  Mario was preceded in death by his father, Vernel Joseph Lopez.  Mario loved the outdoors and loved going fishing. He loved playing his guitar and spending time with his family. Mario was known for having a big heart and will be greatly missed. He is survived by his wife, Heather Lopez; children, Soulara and Skyla Lopez; parents, Naomi and Russ Goshorn; siblings, Gina Bourque (Robert), Christina Lopez; grandmothers, Katie Kirkwood, Paula Rodriguez; nieces, Kaila Lopez, Courtney Lopez, and nephew, Joseph Lopez. Memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 13, 2019 at 5:30 p.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Espanola. The family of Mario “Mods” Lopez has entrusted the care of their loved one to the DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Espanola Valley.
