Mariano Garcia

MARIANO JOSE GARCIA, 82, a resident of Nambe, passed away on Sunday, May 10, 2015 at his home surrounded by his loved ones. Mariano was born into this world on December 10, 1932. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Inez Garcia; parents, Fermin and Margarita Garcia; brother, Jose Concepcion Garcia; sister, Emily G. Martinez and grandsons, Vidal Santos Romero and Willie Joe Garcia. Mr. Garcia is survived by his 7 devoted children, Fermin Garcia and wife Joann of Sombrillo, Christella Garcia of Sombrillo, Veronica Garcia of Nambe, Sandra Garcia of Santa Fe, Marie Garcia of Sombrillo, Bernadine Garcia and husband Ivan Valkinburg of Albuquerque, Mark Garcia and wife Francine Anaya of Taos, several grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and other relatives and friends. Public visitation will begin on Thursday, May 14, 2015 at 6:30 p.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Nambe, with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday, May 15, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Nambe, with a private burial to be held at a later date. The family of Mariano Jose Garcia has entrusted their loved one to DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.
