Marianita - Age 90 - Chimayo - Jaramillo -

MARIANITA JARAMILLO, 90, a resident of Chimayo, passed away on Wednesday, September 4, 2013 following a lengthy illness. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mauricio and Andrellita Martinez; husband, Floyd Jaramillo; son, David Jaramillo; son-in-law, Billy Martinez; in-laws, Ramon and Pablita Jaramillo; brothers, Juan Martinez, Mauricio Martinez, Jr. and Ernesto Martinez and sister, Ninfa Martinez. Mrs. Jaramillo is survived by her children, Rosemary Martinez, Sharon Medina and husband Robert, Richard Martinez and wife Lillian all of Chimayo; brother, Nestor Martinez and wife Delia of Truchas; sisters, Catalina Martinez and husband Rudy of Hernandez, Luguarda Montoya of Chimayo; sister-in-law, Eliza Martinez of Chimayo; grandchildren, David Jaramillo, Jr. and wife Emily of Española, Leroy Martinez and wife Carmela of Chimayo, Michelle Martinez of Chimayo, Valerie Gerstenberger and husband Nick of Albuquerque, Jennifer Hindberg and husband Brian of Utah, Robert Medina, Jr. and fiancé Nadine of Arizona, and Pamela Medina of Chimayo; great-grandchildren, David Jaramillo III, Leroy Martinez, Jr., Antonio Martinez, Robert Arrey, Jr., Sophia Arrey, Kailynn and Adrian Gerstenberger, Kenna Hindberg and Daniel Medina and numerous other relatives and friends. Public visitation will begin on Friday, September 6, 2013 at 6:00 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian burial to be celebrated on Saturday, September 7, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at the Holy Family Catholic Church in Chimayo. Burial to follow at the Nuestra Señora de Dolores Catholic Cemetery in Chimayo with the following serving as pallbearers, Ernest Martinez, David Jaramillo, Jr., Leroy Martinez, Jr., Antonio Martinez, Robert Medina, Sr., Robert Medina, Jr., Jeremy Martinez and Pamela Medina. Honorary pallbearers named are; Kenna Hindberg, Robert Arrey, Jr., Sophia Arrey, Kailynn and Adrian Gerstenberger and Daniel Medina. The family of Marianita Jaramillo has entrusted their loved one to DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.\r\n
