Maria Josefa (Josie) Antonia - age 95 Trujillo

Maria Josefa (Josie) Antonia Trujillo, age 95, a resident of Chama, New Mexico passed away on Sunday, March 9, 2014. Josie was preceded in death by her husband, Jubencio; infant daughter, Teresita; mother, Manuelita Herrera; brother, Tomas; sister, Florinda; brother, Joe and father, Rumaldo. Josie had nine children one of which passed away in infancy. She raised other nieces and nephews, grandchildren and helped raise others in need. She was blessed with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was beloved by all who knew her. Public visitation will begin on Thursday, March 13, 2014 at 5:00p.m. at the St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Chama, with a rosary to follow at 7:00p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, March 14, 2014 at 11:00a.m. also at the St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Chama, with burial to follow at the San Jose Catholic Cemetery in Los Ojos. Assisting the family as pallbearers will be all her grandsons. The family of Maria Josefa (Josie) Antonia Trujillo has entrusted the care of their beloved one to the DeVargas Funeral Home and Crematory of the Espanola Valley.
