Maria Sisneros

MARIA EMMA SISNEROS, 92, a resident of Alcalde, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 19, 2019 surrounded by her family. She was preceeded in death by her husband Santiago Sineros in 1994, son Bobby Sisneros in 1979, Son-in-law John Gallegos who was her helping hand for several years, Parents Lucas and Adela Trujillo, brothers, Leo, Adolfo, Pete, Eppie, and Jose Trujillo. In Laws Cosmes and Rosanna Sisneros; brothers and sisters-in-law. She is survived by her son Elias Sisneros; daughters Florence Gallegos and Anita and Robert Marez; brother Lucas (Olivia) Trujillo; sisters-in-law Mary, Nancy, and Lilly Trujillo; beloved grandchildren Betty O’Leary (Richard), Robert Marez (Carmen), James Sisneros(Francine), Cecilia Lara(Louis); great-grandchildren Robert Anthony Marez, Mia and Gavyn Lara, Isiaih, Santiago and Eliza Sisneros. Emma was blessed with numerous nieces, nephews, family, relatives, and many friends. She has a heart of gold, received lots of hugs and kisses, and was called “mom’” or “mamacita”, she will be greatly missed. She loved her brother Lucas my “bro” unconditionally with all her heart. Emma enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, as well as socializing at the senior citizens center, she made beautiful hand made crafts, mostly drawing and painting those little birds, she also enjoyed sewing and praying the rosary and traveling. She often talked about her family when she was growing up, she had lots of fond memories, one of her proudest moments was winning several gold medals at the senior Olympics. The Sisneros family would like to thank the doctors, nurses, Los Pachecos, Alcalde and Chamita penitentes, for praying the beautiful rosary. All who donated food, prepared and served plus those family and friends that spent time with the Sisneros family in their time of need, and the beautiful flowers and cards. Thank you also to father Jose Herrera who officiated the beautiful mass, Deacon John Bird, Geraldine for singing those beautiful touching songs, Richard for doing the eulogy and DeVargas Funeral Home. Public visitation will begin on Sunday, March 24, 2019 at 6:00 p.m. at St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Alcalde, with a rosary to follow at 7:00 p.m.  Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday, March 25, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. also at St. Anne’s Catholic Church with a burial follow at the Alcalde Cemetery. Serving the family as paulbeaers are James, Isiaih, Santiago Sisneros, Cecilia Lara, Robert Marez, Betty O’Leary, Honorary pallbearers are Robert Anthony Marez, Mia and Gavyn Lara, Eliza Sisneros Mike Sisneros and Pasqual Martinez.   The family of Maria Emma Sisneros has entrusted the care of their loved one to the DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Espanola Valley. 505-747-7477-www.devargasfuneral.com
