Maria Muller

Maria (Sally) C. Muller of Medanales, NM, passed away on September 21, 2024. She was born in Canjilon, NM, to the late Onesimo Ortega and Maria Ines Baca.

She was preceded in death by her late husband Johnny Muller; her parents Onesimo Ortega and Maria Ines Baca; three sons, Joseph M. Gurule, Harold J. Gurule, and Norman T. Gurule; three grandsons, Michael Gurule, Leo Gurule, and John Ray Gurule; and one great-grandson, Avrian Villalobos.

Maria is survived by her son-in-law Christian Mitzel; her son Anthony and Margaret Herrera from Chimayo, NM; Ernest Herrera from Las Cruces, NM; and her daughter Carmelita H. Millan (Pedro) from Pecos, TX. She also leaves behind 19 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.

Maria was a loving mother who enjoyed playing at the casinos. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

A Public Viewing will be held on Wednesday, September 25, 2024, at 6:30 p.m., with Rosary to follow at 7:00 p.m. at DeVargas Funeral Home in Espanola, New Mexico.

Serving as Pallbearers are her grandsons Joel A. Herrera, Joseph Gurule Jr., Estevan Lomas, Elijah Millan, Adrian Lopez, and Timothy Millan.
