Maria Marcella Trujillo Ortiz

Maria Marcella Trujillo-Ortiz, of Nambe, was born July 5, 1955. She passed away on May 05, 2023, from her almost 5-year battle with pancreatic/liver cancer. 

She is preceded in death by her parents Claudio and Macaria Trujillo. Brother Bobby Donaciano. Sisters Rosina Louella and Adele Roybal and niece Jovanna Baca.       

She leaves behind former partner Amadeo Ortiz. Sons Estevan and wife Santana, Nathan and wife Adrianna, A.J. and wife Claudette. Grandchildren Brandon and wife Noel, Josette (Brandon),Tyler, Kaitlyn, Dylan, Derek, Dominik and Davian.Great grandson Zayden along with sisters, nieces, nephews, and many other loving relatives. 

Marcella was a vivacious, beautiful, charismatic free soul. She enjoyed gardening, dancing, socializing, taking adventures, traveling and spending time with the ones dear to her heart. 

She was one of the strongest woman you would ever meet. In July 2018 Marcella was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. She battled the disease quietly not showing much of her pain to anyone. She didn’t let the cancer hold her back. She lived her last years doing what she loved to do, going dancing, making new friendships, creating new experiences and always willing to share her smile and grace. She touched lives wherever she went with her positive attitude, her radiant smile, her contagious laugh and her sense of humor. She will always be remembered for the amazing, beautiful, strong, witty, independent, unique, powerful individual she was.

The family would like to express their thanks and appreciation to all the family and friends for all the condolences, phone calls, texts, visits and for the shared memories of Marcella. 

Services will be held at 10:00am on Thursday May 18, 2023, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish of Pojoaque.
