Maria Erlinda "Linda" Maestas

Maria Erlinda Maestas also known as Linda V Maestas, 86, a resident of El Guache, NM, passed away on Friday, July 12, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. 

Maria (Linda) was preceded in death by her husband, Maclovio Maestas, her two sons, Lenny and Danny Maestas, her parents Miguel and Eloisa Valdez, her brothers, baby Johnny Valdez and Mike Garcia, her sisters, Minnie Valdez, Mabel Garcia and Loyola Vigil, two infant grandchildren and three infant great grandchildren. In laws: Pedro and Maria Ruben Maestas, Joe and Rachel Maestas, Josie and Arsenio Sisneros, Liz and Ervin Harrison, Leo and Sophie Maestas, Janea Maestas and Juan Dominguez. Nephews, Terry Vigil, Virgil Ramsey Vigil and Juanito Dominguez. 

She is survived by her children, Pam (Silviano) Tucker of Dixon, Alex (Cathy) Maestas and Margaret (Ray) Gallegos of Rio Chama, Chris (Lola) Maestas of El Guache. Twenty-one grandchildren: Ashley, Valerie, Shana, Anthony, Thomas, Shannon, Kayla, Nico, Lynette, Desirae, Victoria, Mateo, Rayna, Nicki, DJ, Delayna, Tiffany, Sherri, CJ, Jeremiah and Joshua. Twenty-five great grandchildren: Aria, Kalise, Zia, K’Lynne, K’Ly, Krew, Dionicka, Anthony-Shaun, Catherine, JJ, Brielle, Lenae, Korbyn, Sierra, Penelope, Adalee, Azrael, Cameron, Hailey, Aiden, Nevena, Arieanna, Genesis, Jericho, and Carter. Siblings: LouAnna, (Toby) Trujillo, Rudy (Pam) Valdez, Wilfred Valdez, Sandra (Arthur) Pacheco, Barbara (Virgil) Vigil, Johnny (Manny) Valdez, Earl (Kathy) Valdez, Alvin (Norma) Valdez, Otilio (Chenky) Garcia, and Mercy Dominguez. In laws: Joe Clearance Maestas and Lee (Sandy) Maestas, Delfinio Vigil and Linda Garcia. As well as numerous nieces, nephews, godchildren, and other loving relatives and friends. 

Public visitation will begin on Wednesday, July 17, 2024, at 5:30 PM in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home and Crematory, with a Wake Service to follow at 6:00 PM and Rosary at 7:00 PM. Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, July 19, 2024, at 12:00 PM at the San Jose Catholic Church in Hernandez with burial to follow at the San Jose Catholic Cemetery in Hernandez, NM.
