MARIA E. SILVA, 89, a resident of Chimayo, passed away on Thursday, December 26, 2013 following a short illness. She was preceded in death by her husband, Tomas Silva; parents, Juan and Libradita Sandoval; 2 brothers; 6 sisters and grandson, David Trujillo, Jr. Mrs. Silva is survived by her children, Dora Martinez and husband Leland of Chimayo, Eliza Silva, Perfidia Romero both of Denver, Elsie Silva of Española, Helen Watchmen of El Llano, Tomas Silva, Jr. and wife Michelle of Santo Niño, Gloria Silva of Chimayo, Elmer Silva and wife Lori and David Trujillo, Sr. and wife Paula all of El Llano; 17 grandsons; 8 granddaughters; 15 great-grandsons; 11 great-granddaughters; 2 great-great-grandsons and numerous other relatives and friends. Public visitation will begin on Sunday, December 29, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory with a rosary to be recited at 3:00 p.m. The family of Maria E. Silva has entrusted their loved one to DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.
