Margie R Martinez

Margie R. Martinez, 67, a resident of Truchas, NM, and previously of Cordova, NM, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, December 13, 2024.

Margie was preceded in death by her father; Adonaiso; mother Clorinda Martinez; siblings Lito, Adonaiso Jr., Andrew, Roy and Leonard Martinez; father and mother-in-law, Filoquio and Rufina Martinez; and nephew Brian Romero.

Margie is survived by her devoted and loving husband; Danny; loving daughter Jennifer; and the apple of her eye and grandson, Zaiden Lopez. She is also survived by her brother Amos; sisters Elsie, Annabelle and Patrisia; very special nephew Christopher; aunts Fedelina Montalvo and Diolinda Valerio; uncle Solis Martinez; all her nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friend, Jenny Yates.

Margie was a very loving person. She made a huge impact on so many people‘s lives. She always made time for the people she cared for, no matter how busy she was. She was the custodian for the Truchas pre-school, library and clinic. She enjoyed spending time with her grandson, husband and her daughter. Margie also looked forward to her outings every Friday with her sister, Annabelle. Margie, we will cherish the memories of you forever.

A Rosary will be recited on Thursday, December 26, 2024, at 6:00 p.m. at DeVargas Funeral Home in Espanola, NM. A Funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday, December 27, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at Holy Family Church in Chimayó, NM, with burial to follow at Los Llanitos Cemetery in Truchas, NM.

Serving as pallbearers are her nephews: Fil and Dio Dominguez, Paul, Christopher and Lito Martinez and Mario Contrucci.

Serving as Honorary pallbearers are: Zaiden Lopez, William Wheat, Abigail and Roy Martinez, Angela and Miranda Dominguez.
