Margarito Anthony - age 46 - Abiquiu Velasquez

Margarito Anthony Velasquez, 46, a resident of Abiquiu, passed away on Sunday, October 5, 2014. Margarito was preceded in death by his sister, Esther Velasquez Padilla; maternal grandparents, Emiliano and Andalsia Lopez, paternal grandparents, Margarito and Soledad Velasquez. Margarito was a loving father, son, brother, and uncle. He was a proud owner of Velasquez Electrical Services, and he loved to hunt, fish, as well as camping. He always put a smile on everyone’s face, he has a much liked personality. Margarito is survived by his mother, Molly Velasquez (Charlie), father, Leonard Velasquez (Evelyn); children, Nicole Martinez (Michael), Danielle Velasquez (J.C.), and Anthony Velasquez; sisters, Victoria Velasquez, Susan Brick, brother, Arron Velasquez, step-brother, Alvin Martinez (Pearl), step-sister, Charlene Barella (Harold); special nieces and nephews, Desiree and Josiah Gonzales, Briana Padilla (Manuel), Joshua Padilla (Raven). Public visitation will begin on Monday, October 13, 2014 at 6:00 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory, with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, October 14, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the St. Thomas Catholic Church in Abiquiu, with a burial to follow at the Abiquiu Cemetery. The family of Margarito Anthony Velasquez has entrusted the care of their loved one to the DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.
