MARGARITA R. TORRES, 102, a resident of Truchas, passed away Saturday, April 16, 2016. Margarita was preceded in death by her parents, Casimiro Rodriquez and Marcelina Sena; brothers, Esquipula and Carpio Rodriquez, sister, Beroniz Trujillo; daughter, Melba Padilla, son, Presciliano Padilla; grandsons, Filiberto Dominguez Jr., Elijio Padilla Jr, granddaughter, Connie Padilla;  and sister-in-law, Julia Rodriguez. Everyone that knew Margarita knew she was a loving and caring person that enjoyed cooking for whoever came to visit her. Margarita will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her daughter, Angelina Duran (Manuel), sons, Manuel Romero (Dorothy), Alfredo Padilla, Elijio Padilla (Virginia); daughter-in-law, Stella Padilla; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Lucy Dominguez; favorite nieces, Lenore Trujillo and Cruzita Barela. Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, April 19, 2016 in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory at 7:00 p.m. Burial will be held at a later date.
