Margaret Isabel Ortiz

Margaret Isabel Ortiz, 83, a resident of Dixon, passed away of a short illness on Monday, March 30, 2015. She was preceded in death by her parents, Laurencio and Memoranda Arrellano; granddaughter, Gloria Aguilar; sisters, Isabel Arrellano; brother, Jose Igancio, Tacho and Celestino Arrellano, Lillian Arrellano, Lila Campos, Antonio Arrellano, Lucia Martinez, Lisa Herrera, and many other loved ones. Margret is survived by her children, Anna Marie Gonzales and companion, Daniel Montoya of El Prado, Elsie Aguilar of Taos, Beatrice Ortiz, Ronald Ortiz both of El Prado; grandchildren, Letisha Aguilar, Jorge Luis Aguilar, Christina Aguilar; sisters, Carlota Martinez of Alamosa, Merlin Gomez of Española; and grandchildren she helped raise Christopher Vidaurre (Vidavre) of Taos, Alejandro Mariscal, Marissa Mariscal, and Daniel Angel Montoya all of El Prado; and numerous nephews, nieces, cousins and other relatives and friends. Public visitation will begin on Wednesday, April 1, 2015 at 6:00 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory, with a devotional service to follow at 7:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 2, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Praise Apostolic Temple Church in Dixon, with a burial to follow at the Apostolic Cemetery in Dixon. The family of Margret Isabel Ortiz has entrusted the care of their loved one to the DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.
