MARGARET M. ARCHULETA, 83, a resident of Ohkay Owingeh, passed away on Monday, April 19, 2010. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Archuleta; parents, Amarante and Rosalia Montoya. She retired from the Española School District and Ohkay Owingeh Casinio. She was a member of the Catholic Church and a loving mother and grandmother. Mrs. Archuleta is survived by her children, Norma Naranjo and husband Eugene of Ohkay Owingeh, Mae Montoya and husband Alfredo of Alcalde, Tomasita Duran and husband Les, Dorothy Abeyta and husband Kevin, Ross Garcia Sr. all of Ohkay Owingeh and Steven Garcia and wife Mary of Farmington; brother, Amarante Montoya Jr. of Albuquerque; 14 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren and numerous other relatives and friends. Public visitation will begin on Tuesday, April 20, 2010 at 6:00 p.m. at the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Ohkay Owingeh with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian burial to be celebrated on Wednesday, April 21, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. also at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. Burial to follow at the Ohkay Owingeh Catholic Cemetery with the following serving as pallbearers, Ross Garcia Jr., Pedro Valdez, Mario Montoya, Stephen Garcia, John Duran and Eddie Martinez. The Archuleta family has entrusted their loved one to DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.\r\n
