Later her family moved to Tod Park, Utah, where she graduated from Tooele High School. Later in life she earned a BA Business Administration degree from The College of Santa Fe. She has always been an example and trailblazer, an advocate for woman to have a voice and take leadership positions. She served on The Santa Clara Tribal Council for many years. She loved to travel, but has always loved her homeland of Santa Clara Pueblo (Kha’p'o Owingeh). Her home became a welcoming gathering place for her family and friends to celebrate feast days and holidays.

Marcia is survived by her husband Andy Padilla, and her children; Marie John, Davie John, Kenny John, and Mina Harvier (Jordan). Her grandchildren: Daniel (Melodie, and their 3 children), Jamie, Stanlee, Jakobe, Alisha, Sonny, Davina, Mary Jo, Mirdacia, JaiP’o. Her siblings: Elaine Filbert (Jim), Ima Hale (Mark), JoAnn Tafoya, Joseph Naranjo (Eunice), and Jolene Nelson. And her cherished pet Rappy II. She is proceeded in death by her parents Jose Eugene and Mary Isabel Naranjo, and her grandson Ryan John.

She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day- Saints, Espanola Ward. She served in various callings in her Ward throughout her life. She had a strong testimony of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and relied on this faith to guide her journey in life.

Memories of joyous times with Marcia will be forever cherished by her loved ones and friends.
