Marcelo "Tata" Romero

Marcelo “Tata” Romero, an Army Air force Veteran, went to rest on October 18, 2011. He was surrounded by the love of his family and friends at St. Vincent’s Hospital. Marcelo was preceded in death by his parents, Jacinto and Pablita Romero; brothers: Uvaldo, Frank, Audelio and Arsenio; his wife, Fedelina; the mother of his two eldest daughters, Celine; daughter, Peggy; sons: Bruce, Michael and Norman; son-in-law, Ernie Molina; grandson, Jody Romero. Tata is survived by his sons: Jesse (Dorothy), Jacinto and Solomon (Charlene) Romero all from Truchas; daughters: Mary Alice Molina, Roselia (Joe) Baca, Carol Martinez, MaryLou Romero and Marie Angie Martinez; sisters: Bernie Fernandez and Esnedina Trujillo both of Chimayo; 14 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; his loving companion, Carmen Martinez of Chimayo; special friends: Clorindo “Coy” Rael and Elijio Padilla both of Truchas. Rosary will be recited on Friday, October 21, 2011 at 8:00 p.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church in Chimayo. Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, October 22, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Truchas with burial to follow at Los Llanitos Cemetery in Truchas. Serving as pallbearers will be: Lito, Solomon, Nova, Jesse Jr. and Michael Jr.; honorary pallbearers: Crystal Lucero, Rylene Martinez, Olivia Aragon and Marmi Martinez, and all his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
