MANUEL “MOSCO” CHAVEZ, 42,a resident of Chili, passed away on Monday, January 25, 2010. He was preceded in death by his parents, Gabriel and Gregorita Chavez; brothers, Guillermo Joe Chavez, Herman Chavez, Anurfo Chavez; close nephew, Daniel Rendon. Mr. Chavez is survived by his wife, Kim Chavez of El Guique; daughters, Jaiden Chavez of El Guique and Melissa Gallegos of Rio Chama; sisters, Zennie Rendon and husband Abel of El Llano and Dolly Montoya and husband Ben of Chili; nephew that was raised like a brother, Gabriel Chavez; sister-in-law, Leonires Chavez of Chili; mother and father-in-law, Joe and Eloida Martinez of El Guique; brothers-in-law, Dominic Martinez of El Guique and James Martinez and wife Tabitha of Kansas and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Public Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 31, 2010 at 6:30 p.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Ohkay Owingeh Pueblo with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, February 1, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Ohkay Owingeh Pueblo. Burial will follow at the Chili Catholic Cemetery with the following serving as pallbearers: Gabriel Chavez, Justin Chavez, Brian Baca, Andrew Maestas, Joe Gutierrez, Lorenzo Martinez, Jeremy Martinez and Jeff Martinez. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be his two daughters, all of his nieces and nephews and his Godchildren: Gaby and Isaac.
