Manuel F. Age - 52 - Santa Fe Olivas

Manuel F. Olivas, 52, a resident of Santa Fe passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, April 6, 2013. Manuel is survived by his wife, Dolores Olivas; children: Monique and Ryan Olivas; grandson, Xavier Jaramillo all of Santa Fe. Manuel was born and raised in Española. He graduated and went to college in El Rito, where he met Dolores (Donna), the love of his life. They were married on October 4, 1986, in Santa Fe, and celebrated their 26th anniversary in 2012. They were blessed with a beautiful daughter, Monique and a wonderful son Ryan whom he loved and cherished. He retired from the State of New Mexico after 25 years of service and devoted his time to his best buddy his grandson, Xavier. Manuel was also honored to have been selected as a godparent to many. Manuel was loved by many relatives & friends and he will be dearly missed. Rosary will be recited on Friday, April 12, 2013 at 9:00 a.m. at San Isidro Center, 3552 Agua Fria St. in Santa Fe with funeral mass to follow. Burial will follow funeral mass to Rosario Cemetery with the following serving the family as pallbearers: Gilbert and Mike Romero, Jude and Oliver Torres, Dale Varela, Marcus Barela and Gene Padilla. The family of Manuel F. Olivas have entrusted the care of their loved one to DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.
