Manuel F. - age 82 - Chimayo Martinez

\r\nManuel F. Martinez, 82, a resident of Chimayo, passed away on Friday, December 13, 2013. He was preceded in death by his parents, Federicko and Epimenia Martinez; son, Archie Martinez; daughters, Julia Martinez, and Frances Espinosa; sisters, Rosario Montoya, and Isabel Martinez; brother, Pedro Martinez. Manuel was a hard working man; he battled his illness for approximately 6 years. Manuel enjoyed going to the mountains, and also enjoyed chopping wood. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather, who will be dearly missed. Manuel is survived by his wife, Yolanda Martinez; daughters, Barbara Romero and husband Charles of Arroyo Seco, Veronica Garcia and husband Arnold of Hernandez; granddaughters, Estrellita Barber of Chimayo, Consuelo Barber of Chimayo, and Destiny Spinks of Arroyo Seco, grandson, John Barber; niece, Virginia De La Cruz and husband Percy Trujillo of Rio Chiquito; sister, Angelina of Albuquerque, and numerous other relatives and friends. Memorial mass will be celebrated on Saturday, December 28, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church in Chimayo, with burial to follow at the Potrero cemetery in Chimayo. The family of Manuel Martinez has entrusted their loved one to DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.
