Manuel Anthony Romero, 55, a resident of Albuquerque, born January 8, 1961, passed away on Friday, September 30, 2016.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents Servando and Sabinita Fernandez, Margarita Torres among other uncles, aunts, cousins, relatives and friends. Manuel was also known as M&R and was a respected landscaper in Albuquerque, NM and loved by all his clients. Manuel is survived by his parents Manuel and Dorothy Romero, Julie Pena (friend), sons Manuel Romero Jr. (Erika), Jonathon Romero (Melissa), Anthony Romero (Jennifer), granddaughter Avah, daughters Crystal and Heather, brothers, Lester Romero, David Romero (Debbie), sister Penny Smith (Dante),
and several nephews, nieces, uncles, aunts, cousins, relatives and friends.
Public visitation will begin on Wednesday, October 5, 2016 at 6:00 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory, with a devotional service to follow at 7:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 6, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the Presbyterian church in Truchas, with a burial to follow at the Los Llanitos Cemetery.
