Manuel Rivera

Manuel P. Rivera “Manny”, 19, a resident of Española, passed away on Wednesday, May 10, 2017. He was preceded in death by his father, Juan A. Rivera; great-grandparents, Antonio and Elisa Rivera, Pedro and Beronica Garcia and Pat and Rose Hoover; grandmothers, Elizabeth Anne Rodriguez, and Ninfa Gallegos; uncles, Richard Gallegos, and Albert Rodriguez. Manuel loved bull riding, racing cars, bike riding, hunting and hanging out with his friends. But most of all he loved working on his car. Manuel is survived by his mother, Lisa Romero (Billy); loving guardian, Mary Terrazas; siblings, Juan Rivera (Ashley), Roseann Rivera (Eric), Nelson Terrazas (April), Ray Terrazas Jr., and Alexandria Terrazas (Gill); nieces, Maria Ninfa Lopez, and Sativa Moquino; nephews, Emilliano Garcia; Lucus Terrazas; girlfriend, Mondae Rendon; grandfathers, Juan Gallegos, and Benito Romero; God parents, Joe Medina and Joyce Garcia; and his best friends, Carlos Escarcega, Neri Tena, Ben Valdez, Adam Sanchez, Raymond Salinas, Kenneth Rendon, and many other relatives and friends. Public visitation will begin on Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at 5:00 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory, with a rosary to be recited at 6:00 p.m. Memorial mass will be held on Thursday, May 18, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Velarde, with a burial to follow at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers will be, Juan Rivera Jr., Nelson Terrazas, Ray Jr., Felipe Tena, Carlos Escarcega, Gabriel Escarcega, Raymond Salinas, and Billy Romero. The family of Manuel P.
