Manuel Gonzales

Manuel Mike “Kikes” Gonzales passed away peacefully on January 19, 2021 at the age of 69. Mike was a lifelong resident of El Guique, New Mexico, born on June 24, 1951.

He is preceded in death by his Father, Manuel E. Gonzales; brothers, David Gonzales, Jerry Gonzales, sister, Anna Marie Voss; sister-in-law, Loretta Gonzales; nephews, David Madrid, Michael Gonzales, great niece, Adrina Salazar.

He is Survived by his Daughters, Margaret Montoya (Richard Ramirez), Maria Quinones, Bernadette Cruz, Son, Mike Gonzales, Mother Anna Gonzales, Brothers, Guadalupe Gonzales, Joseph Gonzales (wife Debbie, Gonzales) Martine Gonzales; sister, Pamela Madrid (Randy Martinez); 9 Grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, relatives and friends.

Mike loved nothing more than being lakeside with his fishing pole and beer in his hand. He enjoyed spending long weekends with his family and friends at the camp grounds. His best times spent was hunting with friends in the mountains and taking care of his animals.

Public visitation will be held in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of  DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory on Saturday, January 23, 2021 from 1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, January 29, 2021 10:30 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Ohkay Owingeh, with a burial to follow at the El Guique Cemetery .
