Manuel - Age 88 - Espanola Lujan

MANUEL N. LUJAN, 88, a resident of Española, passed away on Saturday, October 2, 2010. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 62 years, Siria M. Vigil; parents, Miguel and Asencion Lujan; brothers, Rafael, Leopoldo, Anastacio, Bernardita, Carmelita and Tomas; grandsons, Carlos, Manuel and Michael Lujan. Manuel was a very well known retired Insurance Agent in the Española Valley. He enjoyed his family immensely, he also enjoyed traveling and fishing. He was a devoted Española Valley High School Sundevil Basketball fan. He also prayed his rosary every morning and night. Mr. Lujan is survived by his children, Catherine Salazar and husband Jerry, Ronny Lujan and wife Olga, Ruben Lujan and wife Patsy, Rudy Lujan and wife Tina, Theresa Roybal and husband Jim; very close niece, Barbara Vigil and husband Artie; cousins, Ernesto Lujan and Carmen Hughes; his 18 grandchildren, Geraldine, Margaret, Garline, Marlina, Matthew, Renee, Randy, Jeff, Larry, Mark, Daniel, Carlos, Michael, Manuel, Richard, Ruby, Raymond, and Elena; and numerous other relatives and friends. Public visitation will begin on Tuesday, October 5, 2010 at 6:00 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, October 6, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Española. Burial to follow at 1:30 p.m. at the Santa Fe National Cemetery. Assisting the family as pallbearers will be Matthew Salazar, Raymond Lujan, Mark Roybal, Dylan Lujan, Randy Lujan, Daniel Roybal and Jeff Roybal. Honorary pallbearers are the rest of his grandchildren. The family of Manuel N.
