Madgie Age - 65 - Abiquiu Hernandez

Born to this life on August 14, 1946. After a long battle with cancer, Madgie Hernandez, peacefully and happily went home surrounded by her family, on Friday, November 25, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. She was preceded in death by her parents, Procopio and Angelina Maestas; paternal grandparents, Elizardo and Elena Maestas; maternal grandparents, Nicolas and Genara Garcia. Madgie is survived by her husband, Isidro Hernandez; her only daughter, Pamela and husband Roger Apodaca; sons: David and wife Monica Martinez who was like a daughter to her and Jamie Hernandez; grandchildren: Angel and Matthew Martinez, Kayla and Alexis Apodaca; sisters: Mabel and husband Howard Carroll, Dulcinia and husband Tony Barela, Lynn Maestas and companion Arnold Jacquez; nephews: Procopio and wife Claudette Gonzales, Antonio Gonzales and companion Yvette, Tomas and companion Vanessa, and Marcus Barela, AJ Chavez, Carlos Huertado and Jason Lujan; nieces: Angelina and husband Jeremy Lujan, Mikeala Maestas, Kathy and LeeAnn Barela, Katelyn and Desiree Gonzales; maternal aunt, Epimenia Taylor; paternal aunt, Lita Gallegos; also surviving her , Magda Cuevas and Vince Mestas whom she treated as her children; many cousins & friends. Public visitation will be held on Monday, November 28, 2011 at 6:00 p.m. at St. Thomas Catholic Church in Abiquiu with a rosary to follow at 7:00 p.m. A second rosary will be recited on Tuesday, November 29, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. at St. Thomas Catholic Church in Abiquiu. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, November 30, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Thomas Catholic Church in Abiquiu with burial to follow at Abiquiu Cemetery with the following serving as pallbearers: Albert Branch, Steve Martinez, Manuel Serrano and Arnold Jacquez.
