MABEL M. SHERWOOD, 85, a resident of Chimayo, passed away on Monday, March 18, 2019. She was preceded in death by her parents, Octavio and Patrocinia Martinez; siblings, Adonil Martinez, Dennis Martinez, Rubel Martinez, and Eliza Martinez; husband, Jack Sherwood; son, Gilbert Sherwood; grandsons, Kevin Sherwood, Robert Trujillo.  Mabel is survived by her children, Erma Montoya (Charles), Carlos Sherwood, Judith Sherwood, Corrine Martinez (Jerry), Albert Sherwood, Leroy Sherwood, Dennis Sherwood, Debbie Sherwood, Della Sherwood (Lionel), Wayne Sherwood, Patty Sherwood, Sammy Sherwood, Mikey Sherwood, and Yolanda Sherwood (Jeremiah); all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren; siblings, Dorothy Rael, Florinda Martinez, Octavio Martinez Jr. Filiberto Martinez. Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, March 21, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory, with a burial to follow at the Presbyterian Cemetery in Chimayo. Serving the family as pallbearers are Urban Quintana, Keith Romero, Theodore A. Pacheco, Jerry Martinez, Christian Madrid Sherwood, and Casey Montoya, honorary pallbearer are Michael Sherwood and Frankie Martinez. The family of Mabel M.
