Luis - Age - 79 - Hernandez - Gallegos

Luis Gallegos, age 79, resident of Hernandez passed away unexpectedly, Wednesday June 26, 2013. Luis was a very hard worker, loving son, husband, brother, and uncle who will be dearly missed. He had retired as a painter from the Los Alamos National Lab after over thirty years of service. Luis is preceded in death by his father and mother Herman and Finiana Gallegos, brothers Herman, Gilbert and Jose Gallegos. He is survived by his wife Emma Gallegos, of Hernandez, Special Nieces Julie Gallegos of Espanola, and Brenda Martinez of Santa Fe. Mother in-law Agustina Reynolds of Chimayo, sister in-laws Rosina Gallegos and family of Santa Fe, Alice and Walter Fernandez and family of Albuquerque, Betty and Charlie Reynolds and family of Alcalde, Elsie Reynolds and family of Chimayo, nieces, nephews and many other relatives. Mass of Christian burial will be held Monday, July 1, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. at the San Jose Catholic Church, in Hernandez. With the burial to follow at the Rosario Cemetery in Santa Fe. Serving as pallbearers will be Patricio Valerio, Paul and Hermie Gallegos, Derick Fernandez, Isaac Abeyta, and Nathaniel Heffner. The family of Luis Gallegos has entrusted their loved one to DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.
