Lucy Ann Age - 76 - Santa Clara Pueblo/ Puebl Tafoya

Lucy Ann Tafoya, 76, a resident of Santa Clara Pueblo and a member of the Pueblo of Pojoaque passed away on Thursday, May 10, 2012, peacefully at home with her family at her side. She was born on July 4, 1935 in Pojoaque, NM. Being a woman of many skills, Lucy was a renowned potter and silversmith. She has many family members, friends and relatives who she loved dearly. Lucy is now in paradise, while we miss her smile and sometimes silly, witty antics until God calls us Home to join her, we will remain forever grateful for the limitless, pure joy that she brought to each and every one of our hearts and lives. The family thanks so many people for their love and care of Lucy. Special mention must go to the wonderful nurturing caregivers of Ambercare Hospice Services, the Senior Citizens Programs, the CHR’s of Santa Clara Pueblo and the Pueblo of Pojoaque. Public visitation will be held on Friday, May 11, 2012 at 3:00 p.m. at Grace Hoover’s Home in Santa Clara Pueblo with a rosary to follow at 6:00 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday, May 12, 2012 at 9:00 a.m. at Santa Clara Catholic Church with burial to follow at Santa Clara Pueblo Catholic Cemetery. Reception will follow at the home of Grace Hoover. The family of Lucy Ann Tafoya has entrusted the care of their loved one to DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley. 505-747-7477
