Lucy Lovato

Lucy Lovato , 75, a resident of Coyote, passed away on Sunday, May 5, 2019. She was preceded in death by her parents, Antonio and Carlota Velasquez; siblings, Johnny Velasquez, Angelica Velasquez, and Josephine Velasquez; grandson, Marcos Lovato and in-laws, Salomon and Adriana Lovato. She was the back bone of the family. Lucy is survived by her husband of 57 years, Andres Lovato; children, Sandra Lovato, Bernie Lovato and wife Terri, Barbara Randall and husband Dion, Sharon Lovato and Ray, Ronald Lovato and Vanessa, Bonnie Lovato and Shane, Melisendro Lovato and wife Caroline, and Gilberto Lovato and fiancé Ocaris; grandson raised as a son, Ryan Lovato and Aundrea; 17 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; siblings, Rudy Velasquez and wife Antonia, Merjildo Velasquez, Leo Velasquez and wife Anita, Rose Jaramillo and husband Freddie, and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Public visitation will begin on Thursday, May 9, 2019 at 6:00 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, May 10, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at San Juan Bautista Catholic Church in Coyote with burial to follow at the Coyote Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Daniel Gonzales, Dion Randall Jr., Justin Turano, Augustine Lovato, Alonzo Lovato, and Brian Velasquez. The family of Lucy Lovato has entrusted the care of their loved one to the DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.
