LUCILLE M. LOPEZ GARCIA, 64, a resident of Ranchitos, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 7, 2016. She was born on November 8, 1951. She was preceded in death by her parents, Anselmo and Bernie Lopez Romero; sons, Jody and Joseph Garcia; sister, Carla DeVargs, brothers, Benny and Dennis Lopez; maternal grandparents, Juan B. and Rquel Salazar, paternal grandparents, Federico and Rebecca Lopez; companion, Valentin Martinez; brother-in-law, Lonnie DeVargas; Godson, Pablito Martinez Jr. She loved to sing, she loved to cook and watch the Denver Broncos, and she loved spending time with her family and friends. Lucille is survived by her daughter, Judy Garcia and companion, Lawrence Lucero, sons, Leroy Lopez and Jesus Garcia and companion Debbie Sanchez; step-son, Chris Taylor, Grandsons, Justin Garcia and Johnny Garcia and wife Kasey; great-granddaughters, Josie and Alexis Garcia; father of her children, Joseph P. Garcia; sister, Ersie (Eddie) Martinez; her loving God daughter, Nina DeVargas; aunt, Mary Padilla of Ranchitos, Virginia (Delfin) Garcia, uncle, Willie (Mary) Salazar of El Guache; close cousins, Jackie Quintana and Walter Maestas and many other relatives and friends. Public visitation will begin on Saturday, May 21, 2016 at 9:00 a.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory, followed by a wake service at 10:00 a.m. A memorial mass will be celebrated on Monday, May 23, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. at La Iglesia de Santa Cruz de la Cañada, with a burial to follow at the Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery.
