Lucille Courtney, currently from New Braunfels, Texas, originally from Espanola passed away on Thursday, July 12. Lucille is survived by her two sons, Billy (Suzanne) and Charles (Monica) and a very special grandson, Tyler, her brother Benny (Liz), 1 niece, Stephanie Fresquez and 3 nephews, Jason, Mario and Bryan Garcia, sister-in-law, Juanita, and one aunt Minnie Ortiz and many cousins and friends in and around Espanola. She was a great mother and a very proud grandmother. She will be dearly missed. She was preceded in death by her parents, Abigail and Bernadino Garcia and her brother Manuel Garcia all of San Pedro. The memorial service to celebrate Lucille’s life will be held on Wednesday, August 8 at 6:30 pm at the Valley View United Methodist Church (827 Spruce St.) in Espanola. In lieu of flowers please donate money to the Cancer Research Center.
