Lucia - Age 94 - El Rito - Lucero

LUCIA LUCERO, 94, a lifelong resident of El Rito, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 22, 2013 surrounded by her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Benino and Eufemia Chacon; husband, Filadelfio Lucero and children, George, Orlando and Dora Lucero. Mrs. Lucero is survived by her sons, Erminio Lucero and wife Elizabeth and Lee Lucero and wife Elsie; daughter, Coreen Cassady and husband James; sister, Bennie Romero; 8 grandchildren, Randy and wife Monica Lucero, Mark, Chris and Jeffrey Lucero and Chantelle and husband Ron Knowlton, Tracy and husband Adam Drake, James and wife Stephanie Cassady, Tammy Kesler and Julie Lucero; 10 great-grandchildren and numerous other relatives and friends. A rosary will be recited on Thursday, June 27, 2013 at 6:00 p.m. at San Juan Nepomuceno Catholic Church in El Rito. A Memorial mass will be celebrated on Friday, June 28, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. also at San Juan Nepomuceno Catholic Church in El Rito. Burial to follow at the El Rito Catholic Cemetery. The family of Lucia Lucero has entrusted their loved one to DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.\r\n
