Lubella "Lubbie" Martinez, 62, a resident of Cordova passed away on Thursday, July 21, 2016 from a lengthy illness. She is preceded in death by her parents Ismael and Erlinda Trujillo who she lost within 11 months, grandparents, Feloqiuo and Eloisa Lopez, Julian and Natividad Trujillo and the father of her sons, Mike R. Martinez and many other loving relatives. Lubella worked at Los Alamos National Laboratory for more than 20 years. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt. She loved to dress up and go out dancing and visiting with her friends. She is survived by her sons, Chris Martinez (Jessica), Michael Martinez (Shannon); sister, Carmelita Sanchez; grandchildren who she adored Antonise, Cruz, Destinee and Chanel Martinez, Nicolas Sandoval and Kiana Marrufo; Goddaughter, Tess Sanchez; niece, Jacquelyn Mondragon (Pete) and her great nephews, Marcos Romero, Jonah and Ethan Mondragon and many other family and friends. Public visitation will begin on Wednesday, July 27, 2016 at 6:00 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory, with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Memorial mass will be celebrated on Thursday, July 28, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church in Chimayo, with a burial to follow at San Antonio de Padua Catholic Cemetery in Cordova. Carrying Lubbie to her final resting place are Antonise, Cruz, Kiana, Nicolas, Destinee and Chanel.
