LORRAINE M. HERRERA, 76, born May 1, 1941, passed away on Monday, January 1, 2018. She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Abelino Martinez; father, Feliberto E. Martinez, mother, Benita Martinez; sisters, Orelia Castillo and Theresa Aranda and mother-in-law, Anita Herrera. Lorraine is survived by her husband of 56 years Ben A. Herrera; children, Dwight Herrera, Denise Benavidez (Michael), Dwayne Herrera, Laverne Herrera-Hay (Jeff); grandchildren, Tommy Gonzales, Sean Herrera whom was like her son, Jared Herrera, Jamie Herrera, Destinee Herrera and Elliana Hay, great-grandson, Kobe Gonzales; God children, Craig Herrera, Veronica Quintana and Pamela Maestas Tucker; brothers, Eloy (Connie) Martinez, Phil (Esther) Martinez, Ralph (Julie) Martinez, sister, Yolanda (Rudy) Martinez; sister-in-law, Flora Herrera; brother-in-law, Robert Herrera (Ida) and many other nieces and nephews. A rosary will be recited on Friday, January 5, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Española with a Memorial Mass to be follow at 11:00 a.m. A reception will follow at the Parish Hall at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. The family of Lorraine M. Herrera has entrusted the care of their loved one to the DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.
