Lorraine Dominguez

Lorraine Elizabeth Dominguez, age 53, resident of Santa Fe, NM, and grew up in Chamisal, NM, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, September 1, 2024. 

Lorraine was a beloved Sister, Aunt, Niece, cousin, and friend. Lorraine graduated from Penasco High School and went on to attend The University of New Mexico where she earned her Bachelor Degree in Business Administration. She was a hard worker. She worked for UNM Los Alamos and Albuquerque. She also worked at Citi Bank, T-Mobile, Intersections Call Center and KSL, and Los Alamos National lab where she was a Purchasing Specialist. 

Lorraine was sociable, she would strike up a conversation with anyone she would meet. She was a caring person always helping when needed. Lorraine enjoyed spending her time going to Concert Especially Lorenzo Antonio and the Sparks. One of her hobbies was selling Tupperware and Pamper Chief. She enjoyed baking cookies for Christmas and would often bake cakes for birthday celebrations at work and home. She especially enjoyed spending time with her nieces and nephews. 

She was preceded in death by her father Jacobo Dominguez, mother Lydia Dominguez, her sister Florie Dominguez, her brother Jacobo Richard Dominguez, grandmother Anita Dominguez, her grandfather Juan Ramon Sandoval, grandmother Lioneres Sandoval, great grandparents Jacobo Dominguez and Gomesinda Dominguez, great grandparents Ramon and Lucinda Sandoval and Jose Maria and Ramoncita Maestas, uncles Levi Martinez, Elmer Dominguez, Paul Dominguez, Samuel Dominguez, Joe Alex and Juan Sandoval, great uncles Theodoro (Lugarda), Juan Pio, Nick, Don, Tony, Eloy, and Narciso Sandoval, great aunts Amelia (Sebedeo) Rodriguez, Mary Gutierrez, Cora Archuleta, and Beatrice (Frank) Pacheco, cousins Joseph Martinez, Thomas and Joseph Cantou, Wayne and Milton Sandoval and Ezequiel Dominguez. 

She is survived by her brother Dean (Erica), her sisters Marilyn and Sharon Dominguez, her aunts Helen Sandoval and Ramona (Tommy) Cantou, Marie (Fred) Medina, her nephews Jacobo, Philly, Mason, and Dustin, her nieces Katelyn and Ariel. and many other relatives and friends. 

A recitation of the Rosary will be begin at 6:00 PM, on Tuesday, September 10, 2024, at the DeVargas Funeral Home in Espanola NM. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, September 11, 2024, at 11:00 AM, at San Antonio de Padua in Penasco at the Catholic Church. Interment will follow at the Chamisal Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers are Levi Martinez, Johnny Chacon, Samuel Dominguez, Elmer Medina, Robert Lujan. Philly Sanchez, and Jacobo Dominguez. Serving as honorary pallbearers are Katelyn, Ariel, Mason and Dustin Dominguez.
